VI COMMANDO

Lt. John Cowper, formerly of the Black Watch, served with No.6 Commando from 23rd September 1942.

He was captured on 6^th January 1943 by a German patrol whilst attacking positions on Green Hill ( Algeria ).

He spent the final years of the war in Oflag 79 at Braunschweig camp as PoW No. 4157.
